MARBLE
The Beauty of Natural Stone in MVMT Furniture
MVMT predominantly utilizes three exquisite types of marble: the white Pele de Tigre marble, sourced from quarries in Portugal; the black Marquina marble, originating from Spain; and the green Indian Green marble, extracted from the Rajasthan region.
For customized projects, our selection expands further, allowing MVMT to source stones tailored to meet the specific requirements of your endeavors.
SURFACE
Flax Gum : A Natural and Antistatic Material for Enhanced Comfort
MVMT incorporates flax gum as a surface material in some of its models, providing a tactile experience reminiscent of a leather desk pad, ensuring exceptional user comfort.
This material is derived from the grinding of oxidized linseed granules and natural pine rosin, combined with wood flour and pigments. The resulting mixture is then pressed onto a paper backing and protected with a water-based treatment.
Thanks to its composition of natural materials and its surface treatment, the flax gum top surface of MVMT’s furniture boasts antistatic properties, ensuring a stain-resistant, hygienic, and pristine material (NF EN 1815: E< 2kV).
METAL
The Exquisite Craftsmanship of Metal
Metal serves both structural and decorative purposes in MVMT’s furniture.
The framework of each desk is constructed with steel, including beams, crossbars, actuators, bases, and reinforcements, forming a dynamic structure that supports the tabletop and leg panels. This ensures unparalleled strength and durability for all MVMT dynamic furniture—we never compromise on the quality of your desk.
Moreover, MVMT utilizes metal in decorative elements, adding a touch of contemporary elegance. The sleek brilliance of brushed stainless steel, for instance, lends a modern aesthetic to the Tank desk. We have also employed stainless steel in a custom-made desk exclusively crafted for the Gustave project.
