The Gecko is a flawless, impeccable desk, fitting for a James Bond supervillain or the ruthless Gordon Gekko (think “Greed is good!”) from the movie Wall Street (1987).

 

 

 

 

There’s a chilling aesthetic of the ’80s about it, but its personality borrows from a wider range of influences: its oversized marble pads are inspired by the suction cups of the geckos that gave it its name.Its very structured, highly technical composition also finds its roots in the utilitarian aesthetics of the interwar period.
